Celtic Stag Wooden Plaque
Cernnunos was worshipped in Gaul, Italy and parts of Britain. He was antlered god of all wild animals and hunting. God of nature and the underworld. To the Celtic people the stag was a symbol of Cernnunos and a white stag was seen as a sign of the underworld.
The wooden plaque features a stag as a Celtic symbol and raspberries decorating it. Raspberries were called hind-berries in the north of England a few centuries ago and the name may still be in used in some parts. The raspberries were named hind-berries after the female deer that fed on them in the woods.
