Squirrel Decorative Wooden Box

I call this my “Squirrel's Journey Box” inspired by all the squirrels seen sitting on park and woodland paths. This decorative wooden box has a little squirrel sitting at the side of the road. Is he about to set off on a journey? Maybe the path leads to his home in the tree and he is waiting for his friend. Wherever your path leads here is the perfect box to store some little treasures collected on the way!

The edge of the lid is decorated with tiny leaves. The box and lid are painted blue inside. Each side of the base has a large leaf and patterning on the corners. The designs have been burned into the wood, hand painted and given a protective coat of lacquer to finish.
