Dolphin Plaque Inspiration
The feeling of a special relationship with dolphins goes back many centuries. The ancient greeks honoured them as gods. In the Minoan palace on Crete the Dolpin Fresco, painted over three thousand years ago in the queen's hall, illustrates the importance of dolphins and marine life to the ancient people.
People have celebrated and told stories of the dolphin for thousands of years all around the globe. The first person known to have written about them was the Greek philosopher, Aristotle Ca. 350 B.C.
