Bull Wooden Tray

This wooden tray has a Celtic bull design inspired by early Celtic art. An ideal gift for the home, both functional and decorative. To the Celts a bull ensured fertility of the herd. In turn large herds meant abundance and wealtn for the clan. As well as a Celtic symbol for fertility and wealth, the bull represented perseverance or plain old bull-headedness!

Wooden Tray Details

The Celtic design has been burned into the wooden tray then colour applied in thin glazes before sealing with a protective coat of laquer. The design is of a Celtic bull with standing stones and “horn knots” in the corners. Both paint and lacquer used are acrylic based.
